Most water treatment plants utilize chlorinating and fluoridating processes. Chlorine is used because it’s the most cost effective way to kill bacteria and other microorganisms, NOT because it is the safest. The disinfectant byproducts produced from the chlorine are detrimental, causing severe biological damage to our bodies. Fluoride is a government-mandated addition to water processed at facilities in the United States; most European countries have banned fluoridation due to environmental, health, ethical and legal concerns. Fluoride is a well-known toxin, which studies have shown weakens your immune system and causes cellular damage. It is believed that around 40% of all bottled water sold is actually tap water in a bottle.
